Harrisburg University is an institution with new leadership, someone I know to be very much an innovator in Advanced Manufacturing. This show was a conglomeration between Defense and Industry and featured some great guest speakers and tech demos of everything from Robotic Arms to CNC equipment, to Powder Bed Fusion printers.
There were a number of interesting research papers from institutions such as Virginia Tech, Penn State University, and naturally Harrisburg University. One interesting development was the printing of Polyimides(Kapton) using Vat polymerization. While it requires some post processing this material is interesting and also starting to find use in material extrusion. Will be interesting to see that grow.
I was also especially impressed by the Advanced Manufacturing program at Harrisburg University. If I was going to college, this type of hands-on program would be exactly what I wanted.
