Appropriate Additive Manufacturing

sJAM x Compound Dynamics

BIG NEWS!

I have signed a representative agreement with Compound Dynamics out of Wisconsin.

They are a manufacturer of LFAM printers up to 1.5M in size, and focus on building highly stable machines that are appreciated by "Machine tool people"

I have worked with them in the past at Cincinnati and have helped with some of the deployments of their machines.

  • All machines in the field are still running

  • They have listened to their customers and made changes

  • They understand building machine tools as good as any company in AM

  • The support is good

This is potentially the start of something, and working with someone I am comfortable supporting is a good entry into what sJAM could become. If it becomes nothing CD will still be there for you.

The "No" promise still exists. This is a niche machine and while it will save some tool and pattern makers a lot of money and time, it will also not be appropriate for most. This means if you bring me on to help adopt AM technologies, there is a small chance I will suggest looking at this machine. It is a great machine but extruding 13kg of plastic per hour is not for everyone.
