Additive Manufacturing Machines
When I support a machine there are core tenants I will keep as a promise to my customers, if a company deviates, I will cancel any agreements:
A) Quality - the machine must be able to operate without interruption for multiple days, the machine must not require excessive maintenance
B) Support - I must have firsthand knowledge that customers will be supported through their journey
C) Pricing/Fit - Most AM machines must fit a specific need and be price/value appropriate
D) Manufacturing Location - Additive Manufacturing is critical to the US Defense base. Ideally promote domestic manufacturing
E) Data protection - The ability to operate in an air-gapped environment, to protect any IP
F) Open source - Materials = Applications, customers should have the flexibility to have a robust supply chain of materials
Why LFAM?
LFAM provides a cost-effective solution to rapidly produce fixtures and near net shape parts in a fashion that can be cost competitive and produced faster than traditional methods. Tooling has been printed at the speed that P/U boards are formed for secondary processes.

Personal Trust
I have worked with Jared and the team at CD for years, I know them to be excellent machine builders. When I first met Jared, I learned about his projects at Greenheck Fan, where he built custom machine tools, many many custom machine tools with tool changing working in industrial environments under harsh conditions for years. They also have experience in managing supply chain, BOM optimization, and many of the downstream necessities to scale up a company and produce a consistent product. Very few have as much machine tool experience as Compound Dynamics. Also, I know their customers, they are finding success.
Machine Trust
I know them to provide the most well-built machine with a semi-monocoque frame and large ball screws. Refer to the pictures on the right, notice they are tall and thin parts, those are parts that would be difficult to print on most if not all machines this size (1M+) without seeing artifacts from instability. This machine is designed to be an all-in-one with an onboard computer, dryer, and everything you need to produce FGF or FDM parts out of demanding polymers.
