MilAM 2023 - Hello again Tampa
Last minute due to unexpected circumstances, I was able to goto MilAM (Military Additive Manufacturing) in a cold Tampa. Second time at the show, and it spoke a lot about the RSO and DSA's strategy for AM and has a lot of good (and a lot of fluffy) breakout sessions. Attendance was up to 830 this year, which is good considering we are on a temporary Government Budget.
DED was a big theme of the show, mainly for repair of goods. Stratasys had the F3300 which was printing nice and looked like a good machine. My team @ AON3D brought the Hylo for the first showing. I wish we could have shown the work we are doing with AI autocorrection, but overall I think the community knows we are headed into a space where people can be successful printing technopolymers.
I have a sample of CF PA 11 MC from TenneT, a company that makes some ridiculously good filaments most people have never heard of, such as PI. They have a lot of ex DSM employees. MC has a lightweighting element that causes some expansion, and the top surface of this drone frame is ridiculous for material extrusion. This isn't on their website https://www.tectonic-3d.com/
