My friend had a gauge pod printed out of ABS, it started to deform quite badly. That is where I came in, I redesigned the gauge pod to take up less space, as it was blocking critical sightlines.
I also confirmed he wanted Carbon Fiber, knowing it will gray over time that will help it match and the pattern matched the dash.
We went with CF-PET, a lot because we had it, and also because the hygroscopy. I thought about CF-ASA, but I think the higher temperature exposure was the issue as the window itself has a UV tint. I also added some thicker walls while keeping the dimensions significantly smaller.
So far this has held up perfectly, whereas the other neat ABS one has failed.
MATERIALS=APPLICATIONS.
